well, the 98 cobra had the wonderful teksid blocks. the 01 cobras had the WAP block i believe, which was known for not being the strongest. the 01 cobras had 'c' heads, which are good for torque. the 'b" heads are great for high rpm hp.

There is if you make it that way. Depending on your power goals and if you are going boost or not. If you just want a nice N/A motor then some forged pistons,I beam rods and a stock cast crank can be good for decent power. the little things are all the lower end bolts have to be replaced since they are torque to yield, gaskets, I would do valve seals since its apart, that can give you a nice little N/A motor on a decent budget. Add in some bolt on's like CAI, pullies, windage tray, and headers. You can make in the upper 300 range if not close to 400. I would go with forged flat tops if you are going N/A and punch the motor .020 over. get some FR500 cams or GT super car cams (they are a pretty cheap set for the budget minded and I'm running the GT's and I like em) You can spend a whole lot of money on a N/A 4v build or you can do it on a pretty light budget. Like I said just decide your target power and then you can move on.

Well I have had a blower laying around all year, I'd like to throw it on, want to aim for a more serious chunk of power, so I have to do the bottom end, I just figured I'd make it a 4v while I'm at it. Right now I'm unsure of the best rout to take, a low mile mark8 motor with forged internals and c heads isn't looking like a bad option, though I question if it would just be cheaper to buy a block and go from there.
