What cams are you using? I assume mark8 cams if you are using the whole top end. Mark8 cams with a stock runner length 97 cobra intake will put your peak at or below 6k. If you can find some 96-98 intake cams. These are the most agressive factory intake cams. Then your peak would be around 6200. Shorten the runners on the intake and it'd be around 6400.

Boostang- To shorten the runners you have to remove the runners and lop between 1-2" off the ends and epoxy them back in. Gains are between 12-20rwhp. It can be done for relatively cheap. Just all depends if you're mechanically inclinded. -Mark

SHM will port a cobra intake for 700bucks, and it will guarantee to see a 50hp gain, buuut you kinda need boost for that kinda flow.

yeah, im keepin the stocker. im not worried about makin my car a "race" car until i damage the body somehow. then i'll dig into things and make it a racer.
