imrc stuck open code
my car breaks up at about 5 thousand and i get the imrc stuck open bank one code. i current have the intake manifold off and the runner controls.they look carboned up and im going to clean them. but i don't know if this is the cause or not. i've seen post where people say to clean them and it helps. but i didn't know if the imrc controller or actuator could cause a prob. or if its possible to check it. if anybody has any imformation i would apprec. the help

I can't help with the controller question, but since it's apart a good cleaning couldn't hurt.

be very careful when cleaning them, make sure you disconnect the linkages before moving the butterflys.. if you moved them while they were hooked to the actuator it may have damaged it..

remove the imrc's and get it tuned to ignore the imrc's if you're car has some mods done to it. but yea cleanin those dirty things will help.
