Potential Brake Problem

For the last few days I have noticed that when I hit the brake pedal, it will go down a good amount with minimal braking power, then I let off and re apply and the pedal is much firmer and the car stops better.

IIRC, this means I need to like bleed the lines, correct?

Yep; make sure there's no air getting into the system. Bleed dem mo-fo's and check to see if the master cylinder is leaking and or check down at the calipers too.
