Still haven't heard back from my buddy JP

I called him on Monday afternoon and left him a VM

I'll try near the end of the week too.

ok so I'm looking at rotor and pad combos...what are the advantages of iron rotors or stainless steel over the other?

Hadn't seen stainless steel rotors for cars. However, iron has a higher coefficient of friction, high-heat and moisture-absorbtion capabilities, and overall durability compared to stainless steel. The iron is just more prone to surface rust, but the zinc coating is suppose to help with that.

budget??

I'd pick up a set of plain 13" front rotors at Orileys (2 yr warranty) for $75 ea. and a set of Hawks HPS $60.

I don't have an Oreilys where I live.

Budget isnt really a worry, but I am kinda cheap. I will pay for quality, but I don't want to spend $1500 on the brembo package.

I'm gonna replace all 4 rotors and pads also. I am going to get some Hawk pads thats a given. I love those pads.

what do you guys think of these?

Baer 96-04 Cobra DecelaRotor Rotors (Front) [54045-020] : Lethal Performance, Performance parts for Ford Mustangs

Since I can buy everything but the fuel filter from them and get a discount I may just go with lethal.

Those are the ones I originally bought from my buddy. I wanted them; well he sent me them in a GT size, not Cobra size so I returned them and then I saw how sexual the Brembo's were. A bit more money but I didn't have to wait for a new set of the Baer's to come in. I'd def. go for it JP.

alright I'll get those with some HAWK HPS pads, and also gonna replace spark plugs at the same time because I believe they are fouling on me, Gonna think ahead and get ones a step colder before I do the pulley swap.

lol, well fuck I wish I would have seen this earlier. I had the EBC dimpled/slotted on my mach and it was the best investment I ever made, and they looked fucking sexy, let me find the link. They were decently priced too.

The e brake light coming is normal when your pads are comeplty facked. I had that every time I wear mine down to the metal. Change the pads and also check your rotors. Ford for once actually did something write with that warning light but they did it in their own cheap savnig money way could put an additional light with brake image.
