got car runnin, now its leaking

well saturday i stopped by my mechanic's place and to my surprise..my car was sitting there running. i was so excited because it's been started once since february. well monday he gives me a call and says that about a quart of oil had dripped out of my exhaust adn dripped from underneath my turbos. They think the seals in my turbos are bad. now they are BRAND new. there is some shaftplay in the turbos, but i was told that i was to be expected because they are ball-bearing turbos. i called HP and they said that my oil pump is overpowering the turbos with oil and its pushin past the seals and that i need to get oil restrictors. any thoughts?

ouch.... Are they turbonetics turbos? I have seen a ton of issues with them lately.

did you ever find out if they were garrets or not?

well the turbine housings say garretts, but nothin else is a garrett according tothe garrett dist that i spoke with on the phone. i needed oil restrictors. the turbos still drip a lil off the compressor housings, and i still see some black oil drippin out of my exhaust when it idles, but i cant let it idle for long cause its runnin so rich so im hopin its just residual oil that dumped into my headers when it was forced out of my housings. i gotta get it tuned, so now i gotta save up money for a tune, skinnier front rims and tires, and money to pay this guy to hook up my wastegates and boostcontroller. that should be it then im DONE!

oh i also forgot to say that the oil wasnt draining rite. i tried to moung my scavenge pump where hellion mounts theres, but i didnt' have a catch can like they do, so my drains went uphill to the scavenge pump. i thought the pump would pull the oil uphill, well i was wrong....
