The block and crank can take a crapload. The rods are still the same crappy pressed powdered ones.

I know the block itself can im just wondering if the heads will be any good? Or would i be better off using my 2 valve patriot stage 2 heads? The only thing that concerns me is that this motor only had 50k miles on it and when i took off the valve covers i found loose rockers layin in the head like someone over revved it and they flew apart.

The block and heads will hold more power than your wallet can afford.

OK well bottom line is when I got my teksid found out so much sickness. Here come short tekside history lesson. Teksid was a company that ford of course contraced to put into the all 96 - 98 cobras some of these ended up in the a couple of the 2001 Cobras. Now How much abuse it can take the actual block. The reason ford went with Teksid is a Italian manufacture who makes blocks for Ferrari yeah get the fuck out here is right but wait they also make the blocks for Lamborghini, Fiat, Porsche and so rember all these cars deflty dont just rev to 6500 or 7 so this all equalls good for about 1500hp and more than you can throw at it for now lol.

Yeah, even if your wallet can afford to do 1200 horsepower it's still going to handle more than you can afford. If you're going faster than that then you probably can't afford it anyways. 7 second cars take a lot of money to keep up.

Does anyone know for sure on how much this 96 block can take before anything blows? In other words, pistons and rods? I heard more than 440 N/A on a stock (all together, internally) that you could be looking for problems. Trying to decide if I should just stay N/A and do bolt ons or get the KN 2.1L s/c. At about 7psi it puts me at 426 crank horsepower and 430 crank torque..

it all depends on how everything acts with each other. the blocks can handle a good amount with the right parts working the way they are supposed to.

A KB isn't going to destroy your block. Extra strain on internal parts and such? Sure.
Everything should hold up but that doesn't mean it will. I managed to annihilate the spider gears on a car with just 300RWHP or so at the track with drag radials. Your stock transmission could probably go out soon depending on how you beat on it. (Weak spot in the car.) If it's just a street car and you're just using it as a sweet cruiser then it may last forever.
