Kenne Bell 2.1L for 96-98 Cobra Owners

For those of you who own a 96-98 Cobra with a KB 2.1L how do you like it, how reliable is your car, and how much power are you putting out? A local Mustang Speed Shoppe that I've been talking to has told me that they aren't any good because you have to retime the engine to a lower setting because of heatsoak and detonation. And he said that you could just make more power without the KB. My car is a daily driver and I drive from GA to NC constantly so it NEEDS to be extremely reliable no matter what mod I put on it. I was really excited about getting it, but now I'm bummed out from what this guy told me.. I'm just looking for a litte bit more power (at least 400 crank hp) so I can still tool around with the new cars coming out. So what should I do now?

do a vortech with an intercooler, or maybe a single turbo kit with mild boost, that way u dont have to run 410's on the highway. i have a HP TT kit and i have 3:55's in the rear.

after looking for a supercharger for my 1996 cobra I thing procharger is the best bet. procharger has a intercooler for a reasonable price. kennybell does not I would rather go with procharger also you lose you strut tower brace with the kennybell if you have one . but of course its up to you.
