New Sound

Ok so this only happens if I drive a little rougher than usual, but what ends up happening is I get this whirring electrical sound almost like feedback from the radio, but it is directly related to what rpms I'm at, if I'm turning, and if I'm braking. You can feel more in the clutch, and in the brake pedal when it happens, and if I'm turning it gets louder. It sounds like it's coming from the engine itself. Sounds similar to the old school fire engine sirens. The sound is coming directly from the engine. Any ideas?

Oh and forgot to mention. It is louder inside the cabin than in the engine bay, but it is coming from the engine.

sounds like it just may have something to do with the blower.....

yeah it is a whining sound. It almost reminds me of the blower, but at the same time doesn't. I can come over if you like man.

blower would be my thoughts because you say its louder when your on it more. got me curious though now.....

Honesty it sounds like it might be the blower or the driverside head. I can't really pinpoint it.

have you listened to see if you can pinpoint where its coming from by popping the hood and pull the throttle?

here is the vid that we took tonight. you could hear it and im thinking that it may be his power steering pump that is going out as it also makes that sound louder when he turns.

The way he was describing the sound earlier it does seem like the power steering pump. Ford OEM pumps can get noisey.

So I feel really dumb...It was the PS pump...but it was just low on fluid...

Yeah. The SOB gets loud. I knew they were loud, but didn't realize how loud they get when something goes wrong. I think thats why I dismissed it.
