Cams without a tune...

So I have a situation. since I'm doing my own work and my tuner is 70 miles away..........Can I drive it that far without a tune?

I've had it towed there before.

2 problems...More scratches on bumper. $250....

you know what.. i was told i have a turbo cam in my svo. and i dnt think it's tuned... this is very bad... i never thought about it... just put 100 miles on it yesterday.

Do you have a handheld? if so, why not get an email tune for 50-75 bucks to get you there?

That's what they used. flatbed winch up tow truck...

And I do have a handheld but I don't think there alot of tuners out there doing e-mail tunes for cams and whatnot...

If your tuner knows what hes doin he should be able to set you up with a tune to get you to the shop.

fuck a winch. just pull it up on a flatbed and tie it down from the frame with some good straps. No need to scratch anything. Done it plenty of times.
But having your tuner send you a temp tune to get you there is a better idea. dunno why i didn't think of it

Grrr So I should drop $75 on bamachips to get it too the shop eh...Better than $250!

I thought about this but I don't if my tuner is up for that....They are an extremely busy shop. But I was going to call and ask about it anyways.

Do you have a wideband? I think your biggest issue would be leaning out, or running too rich and with a wideband you would atleast be able to see whats going on to see if you could make the trip.
