i have the KYB AGX adjustables... LOVE EM!.
It depends on what your wanting out of your car tho. Street/Strip/Twisties? And is the car lowered? |

You can go almost anywhere and pick any shock. Tokico is a popular "cheap" option which you can get through American Muscle or many other vendors you'll run across. Since you're requesting a street car that handles well you could probably go with Tokico if you want to save money. KYB would work as well. A Bilstein package is going to cost you nearly $600 or more if you want to go with them. They are far more performance orientated. The need for an adjustable shock on the street is pretty slim in my opinion.
Figuring out a price point helps! Performance = Money in the automotive world.

I would have to agree with all three brands mentioned. My Steeda/Tokico set up worked great when i was in SoCal. There were some really hairy hills out there. The beauty of the adjustable is you can dial for fun or back off for cruising. But Pay Master hit it on the head. Unless you plan on frequenting the track often, top of the line sh*t just isn't worth it. I would go for decent set of adjustables and spend your savings on some good chewies and dialing the set up properly. You will not be able to push even the middle of the road gear on the street, not safely anyways. Too many variables on the street, and if you do you might be posting for and all-takers type insurance company. Trust me bro, learned it the hard way in my rocket days. Good luck whatever your decision. Don't for get C/C plates. it'll save them front tires
