Is this fixable?

I have been thinking about buying these heads but am worried about the damage. Can I have them fixed so they are just fine within a reasonable price?
Great Ford 4.6 DOHC "C" Heads w/ Valve Covers! L@@K!!! : eBay Motors (item 270517191325 end time Jan-24-10 17:28:56 PST)

I have began work on a 4v motor and everything included would really help, so I really want to buy it, but am worried about the damage.

Sure, ANYTHING can be fixed but at what price and what condition will it be when repaired? There are too many decent heads out there than to buy these. Check out the "for sale" on corral.net. I would tend to stay away from e-bay although there are occasional decent deals there.

Personally, I would not buy them. These could have several hundred dollars in repairs in them. I would not be surprised if there were also bent valves that need to be replaced and damaged valve seats, which would require an expensive valve job, labor and parts. Way too many unknowns.

Just my .02.

not that expensive to fixed. valve job isnt that expensive. valves arent expensive either. the damage dont look bad enough to need to have sent out for welding and fixing but pic might be decieving.

so buy or no buy? This includes a chunk of what ill need for the build and if it costs me a couple 100 more its still a little cheaper in the long run. I had already planned on buying new springs/valves, so its not a big deal. About how much should it cost to have that fixed if I were to have it fixed? I can have it tig welded at work and faced in the machine shop if its all it needs.

if you are good at a tig, then you can fix it. a machine shop can surface it, thats not an issue. if you plan on new valves, then a valve job would be in order anyways.
