ah ok. if i just plan on running 93 octane are the 2.6's a good idea? i just read a quick little thing online that with something along the lines of 600 hp on 93 the 2.8 is safer?

here is the exact quote. it was said over on svtperformance

if you want to run on 93 octane... imo your best shot is with a 2.8h or a 2.8mammoth!

you can get big numbers with a 2.2, or with a 2.6h like mine... but running 93 octane with high boost isn't a great thing with smaller twin screw blowers!

i make 635rwhp but with a bottle of torco with ever ten gallons, to increase the octane.

it makes since... the bigger blowers are less parasitic and don't heat the air as much.

i'm guessing the .2 jump in size of the 2.6 wouldn't make much difference on streetability?

My 03 Cobra is for sale. I'm not sure how much you're looking to pay, but it's got low miles and a few mods to keep you happy until you upgrade to a twin screw. Here's the link: http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums...ire-cobra.html

i wouldn't worry about just making huge horsepower first off. i also only run an eaton. granted mine is ported, but i am knocking on the 10 second range and beat up on whipple/kb cars all the time at the track because they spend all the money on the blower and aren't too worried about making it hook up.

Bushings, IRS brace, and there some other braces and what not. The clutch is good to about 550rwhp.
