Looking at a Terminator
hey guys, new here. Been searching the forum for about a day or so now.
Looking at getting myself a Terminator cobra for a spring/summer weekend play car. Love the stock power and the potential for a power bump that they have. Now my first question is how much you can make with one just upgrading the exhaust, intake, a blower, and tune. I'm not talking the extreme that i can make (yeah thats what mostly came up when i searched for this). I'm wondering what would make for a great street car to play around with. All my buddies drive T/A's and Camaro's so gotta have the Mustang able to beat them ![]() Also what supercharger would be a good one for this task? Would it be something in the 2.2 to 2.6 range? And how much power can the stock clutch hold? |

i'm guessing that's flywheel?
and that can be done without upgrading things like injectors? |

no at the wheel.... best thing to do fuel system wise would be a set of gt pumps, lethal fuel line upgrade kit, BAP and some 60lbs with a MAF to match. Once you get over 450ish you'll need some fuel system upgrades.

but 450ish at the wheels is good with just intake, tune, blower, and exhaust?
would a KB 2.6 be a good choice? or would i be better off going with a smaller sized one |

mine has been a best of 11.14@125 that was with a 1.6 60 foot and running out of gear 100 feet before the traps. since then I have finished the suspension, added long tubes, added a 2 step, plumbed in a 3 gallon ice tank and stepped up to 28" tires. We'll see what it does when the tracks open back up.
The blower is pretty loud.

oh ok wasn't sure if those would cover as high as 600.
would a KB 2.6 be a good choice for that high? and what are these KB 2.2's i keep reading about? I can't find them listed on the KB website, were they discontinued? |

My car at the time of the video has a completely stock fuel system. I have been slowly working on it so that I can throw a healthy shot of gas at it.
yeah they don't make them anymore

the 2.6 is what you would want to shoot for. you may want to look around for a used kit.

is the 2.6 better than the old 2.2? What does Whipple offer that'd be good?
