94 mark 8 heads

I just pulled the 4V out of a 94 mark 8. I'm using the block for my 03 gt. I'm going to stay 2V and was wondering how much i could sell the 4v upper stuff if its even worth selling?

You could probably get 100-300 for the heads assembled. B heads are cheap and all over the place for almost nothing.

Cams can go for $50-$100 to a C head 4v guy looking for a bit more power (96-98 was the most aggressive factory cam)

Intake is the jewel, you can get $200 or more from that.

IMRCs from the 93 mark wont help any cobra guys, junk them.

If you cant find anyone, I might be interested in the lash adjusters.

i agree with everything you said besides the intake, nobody does a 4v swap and wants a mark viii intake. if he had a cobra intake itd easily be worth 300 bucks...as for the value of the mark intake, i have one laying around in a friends garage and if anybody wants it they can have it lol

also the 94 heads are not the same as the 97/98 mark or 96-98 cobra, but VERY similar

Yeah, the mark intake's not really worth anything but its weight as scrap.

They are still considered B heads, but they have different valve springs then the cobra head and the 98/99 mark head. The spring pockets are not machined the same, so the newer beehives are not a direct replacement for the failure prone standard springs. There is also a small restriction in the combustion chamber in the older heads.

Oh yeah the Marks are junk. For some reason I was thinking he had the Cobra intake. My apologies for missing that.

Yes the heads do have a small restriction which can be easily removed while they are out of the car.

The later Marks had beehive springs I heard, not sure if that is true or not.

What about the mark alum drive shaft? Is it worth hanging on to? I'll just toss the intake in the back of the car this weekend when i take it to the scrap yard.

No one wants the cams out of the Mark heads. Marks and cobras came with different intake cams, but the same exhaust cams. The Cobra cams are the most aggesive cam, but the Mark intake cams would be put to better use as a rat-rod bumper

Not a problem, I just wanted to make sure the OP knew that even though the heads were the same the valve springs and cams were not the same between Marks and Cobras

I believe that you have to have it shortened. We had one at the shop for a bit after, I grabbed my engine base.
