Pulling My IMRC's = PITA
Last night Primo and I started pulling the intake to clean the IMRC's and lets just say they are way past due. There is oil puddled up everywhere its rediculous. The pics will just have to show you the extent.

wasnt bad pulling it apary except if you do this be careful with those plastic vacuum lines as they are brittle and break easy.

Well i just finished scrubbing everything and its night and day. Ill post some pics here soon. The carbon on the runners was burnt on there pretty good. Couldnt believe the amount that was built up. Hopefully she will breath alittle better from here on out.

They are Intake Manifold Runner Controls. There are two valve ports on the rail one of the valves is open constantly and there other opens up around 3,200 RPM. They just allow the motor the make the most torque down low, and the secondary ports open the other runners to make better power higher up. Some people delete them, i would keep them on the car if its a DD but a track car i would take off.

naa, i just have never done it before so Primo had to help me out. Like Primo was saying up top careful with the vacuum lines they are really brittle and we had to replace pieces of mine that broke.
When i got it all back togethor i forgot to plug the IMRC's back in. Unlucky for me the plug was in the valley so we had to rip it apart again just to get to the freaking plug. Its really easy once you do it tho. Takes you a couple of hours to get it all off without someone helping you. I would strongly recommend doing it tho, my car runs much better now that it can breath. Once you get the intakes pulled off you can look at your valves inside the heads and see how they look. Mine are caked up with carbon so def. going to be seafoaming it here soon. We found zip ties plastic caps and abunch of sand inside the valley....
