Exhaust question

Im sure this is probably a dumb question but i just want to make sure. i currently have weld in flow 40's and im looking for an off-road h pipe for my mach and was wondering if the 03/04 cobra midpipes are compatible, or the 96-98 cobra mids are compatible, or if the 99-04 gt midpipes are compatible? Any info is appreciated.

(sry for a noob question)

I'm fairly certain Cobra/Mach1 mid pipes are the same. Is there any reason you want an H pipe over an X? Don't see too many new edge cars with H pipes.

Yes, yes, and yes. The midpipes are identical.

Well, not identical. There are some some different designs and some are rustier than others... LOL

again, the mid-pipes are the same. I actually removed a o/r x-pipe and installed a factory h-pipe and liked it for a while (too quiet, 4 cats). Today I had the o/r x-pipe reinstalled, it seems the 4valves like the x-pipes. although MRT direct makes an o/r h-pipe that sounds pretty good

I was choosing an h pipe for the deepness because i already have the 40's welded in. Im just not sure an offroad x will sound good with that. Just not into the high pitched part of it. But they do sound mean...anyone with that combo have a clip?
