15's fit on a terminator?

my dad has an 03 cobra with the stock brakes on the back and was wondering if he can fit a 15x10 drag lite on the back without rubbing on the brakes..he is running the stock wheels on the front, but just wanted to get some slicks for the back on a 15 inch wheel to get a bit of a wrinkle out of them...so will a 15 inch wheel fit over the stock cobra brakes only in the rear?

No they will not fit without grinding down the banjo bolts on the calipers and even then its really iffy. Either get GT brakes on the rear, or use 16 inch rims. I personally dont like grinding brake parts, but thats just me. I went to a solid axle with Gt brakes.

slight grinding will be required on the calipers and tie rod ends.

That or put 16x10 wheels on it with 16" ET Streets. Will work just fine.

I might be able to find someone from SFL that would trade an IRS for your solid.

Are you serious about doing the swap?

The best way to do the swap is with both cars at the same place.

Every IRS to solid swap that Iv'e down went down like this:

I had the IRS out of the Cobra before the GT arrived. When the GT owner got there, we would remove the lolid and all that goes with it, swap the GT's pinion flange to the IRS, and install the IRS in the GT. The GT leaves and the solid gets swapped into the Cobra.

If you are serios about wanting to swap for an IRS shoot me a PM. I can get you set up with a Cobra owner that wants a soild.

You have to swap cat back exhaust, muffler hangers, rear springs, parking brake cables, ABS sensors, and rear shocks along with the rear.

BTW, Terminator springs are a specific rate spring and can be cut to tailor ride height without adding any more ride harshness then you would by swapping to aftermarket lowering springs.
