I am looking at getting a shifter. What do you people recommend?I was going to get a pro 5.0 but now I may be leaning towards a mgw.

I had a steeda tri-ax in my five liter, it wasn't bad. I drove my friends 2v with a Pro 5.0 and hated it, and now I have a MGW in my Cobra and LOVEEEEE it.

Silly question... Search here, Mach1Registry... It's all the same story. MGW! I mean, there are a few people that love other brands as well, but as you can even see from this thread, the overwhelming response tends to be MGW. I LOVE mine, and friend's that have driven my car love it as well.

I have the MGW but Iam letting you know the pro50 is no joke. I just found out that these guys have been working on mustangs for years and they had the whole design pattented. Its supposeldy an amazing shifter. It actaully has been angled so when its installed missing third really is almost impossible. The MGW is badass cuz you can adjust in to you perfect fit. But I have to say I have missed third more than once with it but that is also partially due to my clutch.

Sadly from all my research this is this case and unfortunately according to my computer the order page isn't very secure but I have fraud protection on my card so hopefully nothing comes of it. Just ordered the MGW it was between the MGW and Tri-ax and finally pulled the trigger on the MGW after several back an forths.

I wonder how many people have actually tried more then one shifter? I only say this because people always want to think whatever they bought was the best. No one wants to think they wasted money. Not being a dick or calling anyone out, because the MGW is a damn fine shifter. Just a thought.

Anyway, I have had the B&M which I thought was good, until I tried someones car who had the MGW. It is a great shifter. I just bought the Roush last night and put it in and I love the damn thing.

Exactly my thoughts as well. Ive had the pro 5.0 that I ditched for the hurst. Ive driven my buddies car (for a month) with a MGW in it and I can honestly say that I favor my hurst more.

Like I said, I had a tri ax, I've used a pro 5.0, and I have a MGW now, and it's by far the best out of the three.

I am not trying to call anyone out. Just making an observation. I see it in all threads. What tires are best? What CAI? Then everyone says "I have this and it is the best!". I am sure that I am guilty of the same thing. lol
