Need help with termi's


ok im selling my GT friday and will be in the market for a Termi and i def want to start modding right away...what would i need to make 500whp? i here porting the supercharger is decent, who would i go to for that? after making 500whp, could i throw 100shot on nitrous on top of that without breaking crap? yes i know there is a search button, but i been here for 3 years so i have the seniority to be lazy dammit!

No one has seniority to not search

Steg for porting.

If you want to hit that mark then you can get just about there with intake, tune, pulley, exhaust. If you want to throw the shot on there you can. you have to remember that they are forged from the factory.

I like how you say most Primo...you hinting at something? Huh...so yeah my car is a whore sometimes and doesn't want to be modded, well she is gonna be raped with my mods pretty soon.

Also we are the minority on the boards by having a 4v so our help is slim to none.

Tune
All that can bring you pretty close roughly about 40 hp away from your goal

And yes you can throw a 100 shot on it. These motors are fully forged, just make sure you get it tuned properly.

Add a stg4 steg port and you'd be right around 500rwhp. (stay away from the stg 5, the welds on the torque plate are braking)
Check the duty cycle of tghe pumps and injectoirs. With only an upper pulley, the stock injectors should be fine and a BAP probably wont be needed.

If you wanted to go more aggressive, get a Posi port and a dragon plenum. With a 2.76 upper/ 4 lb lower, you can get in the 540/540 range.
It will reqire a BAP, 60lb injectors, and a MafIA (or a SCT meter).

bbk throttle body on a termi is known to give you good gains as well, so add that to tha list cricket made on bolt ons

Your going to want at least a port job and a pretty small pulley. I have a port and 2.93 and I'm only at 475 (although a very conservative tune). A 2.76 with a port should get you there without having to mess with a lower.

i have been extremely happy with my steg ported blower, but i did not really even go through steg for it, and have never had to deal with them since i bought it barely used from a member on svtp that was going whipple. and that was over 2 years ago. i make 515rwhp, and trap 129 in the 1/4 mile. i run a 2.76 upper pulley, 2lb lower, have a sct2600 maf, kb boost a pump, 60lb injectors, and an high boost jlt intake. my car is tuned fairly conservativley, but is still a blast to drive and makes enough power to put a big ol grin on my face everytime i nail it. not gonna lie, a whipple or kb would make more power than a ported eaton ever could, but i can tell ya, 500rwhp is far more than the street can handle anyways. plus with a little suspension work you can goto the track and whoop most those cars anyways.

Steg has been getting a bad rap here lately along with LFP.

If you want to make sure you get nothing but top notch customer service 110% of the time go wtih Posi for the port and Lethal for all the rest.

Brian (aka posi) is a top notch guy that is always willing to help.

I also trapped 129 and 130 in a stg4 car without powershifting. Here are the slips from thet day:



The next time out I finally got a 10 out of it with a little more agressive launch and powershifting:


The crazy thing is I thought that the brakes may have been dragging a little that day. When I would creep forward in the staging lanes, the car felt like it stopped on its own a little too quickly. The next day we found a sticking rear caliper. That explained the drip in trap speed.

As for the 60lb injectors...do they specifically have to be bought for a termi or can I use any kind? For example can I use 60lb injectors that are from a mustang gt? And can I use any KB boostapump? Because I lurk on alot of forums and guys sell brand injectors and boostapumps all the time for a cheaper price, but I usually see them bought for a different car.

There really is not an 03 Cobra specific 60 lb injector. Look for a set of seimens-deka #60 lb inj. You can buy the newer style EV6 injectors that match your harness or the older EV1 style and you can get the adapter harness to mate them to the EV6 connectors on the car.

The best way would be to call a reputable shop 6that specifiaclly deals with 03-04 Cobras like Lethal performance or D'agostinoracing. They will set you up with the right ones for your car.
