New Rattle Question 99 Cobra:(

The good: My new mgw shifter came in today

The Bad: Driving home from school friday my car just randomly started making noise. It starts at about 2500 rpm and gets worse the higher it gets. I have no clue what it is

It sounds like its coming from the front of the car, but it sounds more like something is loose then something wrong with the motor. I will try to get a video up pretty soon, but it might be hard since it only seems to happen when im driving.

The car is a 99 cobra with about 63k on the clock. I daily drive it, and almost never "get on it".

Any ideas?

It could be a couple of things. Get the vid up so we can hear.

Here it is. kinda hard to hear, but towards the end it pops out. I did check the oil and it was low, but it doesn't sound like an engine knock, i can only hear it when im accelerating, even when coming down off the higher rpm it doesn't make the noise.

Can't view the videos right now, but while parked, put the car in neutral. Press the clutch in and rev. it up. Does it make noise with the clutch in? Do the same thing but this time without the clutch pressed in. Does that make noise?

I seems to happen both ways.

I think i can get it on a lift Saturday and maybe see if its just something loose, i hope thats the case.

Hmm any more ideas?after messing with it some more today im almost sure its not coming from the motor. I don't think its the exhaust...is there anything else that comes loose normally?

Well i got it on the lift today, it seems more from underneath the engine. Dads friend said sounds like a spun bearing, which i guess would makes since due to the lack of oil
