What's it worth??

First off I'm new to MM so just gonna say hey to everyone, but I had a question. How much should I be looking to to spend on a 1999 even up to 01 Cobra that is basically unmoddified aside from cold air, exhaust, etc... in good condition in the neighborhood of 80-100K on it. I know a couple of guys with ones for sale, but I wanted to get another view on the price. Lets assume the paint/body and interior are very clean. I know Blue Book is actually pretty low around 6000-7000 but I can't find just a load of them a that price.

I'm from east texas but I'm looking into the dallas, houston, austin areas as well. I'll see if I can get some pics later on the cars, but even assuming the best what should I be looking at.

I would say somwhere in the range of the blue book

It really depends on the condition of the car i would say.I paid the max blue book for mine because of the shape it was in(even after i promised myself i wouldn't).

When I was looking at cobra's I saw a few in the 75-90,000 mile range in great condition for around $8,000-$10,000. I paid top dollar for my 2001 just because of it's condition and low miles (44,000). Low miles can make a big difference in what someone may ask for it.

one that I'm considering is on this forum in the classifieds i think its titled 1999 cobra in texas for 7500. If anyone can take a look at it lemme knw what you think.

i take it you are talking about this one? That actually isnt a bad price at all especially since it has a fresh paint job. I would go and check it out as well as test drive it to see how it runs. I always bring a compression tester to check it out. If you ask the owner and they decline you doing it then walk away. You can also always bring it to a mechanic to have them check it out if the owner will allow it.

I'm in Houston for the weekend, to look at cars, if you want me to take a look/take some pictures of it I might can do it.

thats a pretty good price, i paid 10,500 for mine with 60K miles, but it had a new coat of paint and a beautiful saleen body. just bring that compression tester and listen for ticking noises from the heads
