235's on a 9" rim?
i have 2 235's available for me. will they fit on a 9" rim? i see posted on a couple sites that 245 is the smallest they recommend for a 9inch rim. would it be risky to drive with the 235's? thanks

275s fit a 9" wide wheel very well but IMO theyre too big for the front of a car. 255s arent made in the same hight as the stock 245s and 275s are, 255s in the next size up or down are about .3" taller or shorter. i think next time i buy tires im gonna throw some 255s on the front of my car and see how i like them. im not too worried about the hight difference up front, if they were out back theyd throw the speedo off by about 2mph.

Good luck man. Keep us updated.
Oh, and just so this has some relevance to the original post, I run 265s on my 9" front. But that is neither here nor there anymore.

i have 275's on the front right now witha 9.5" rim and they rub my downpipes reaaal bad. HP Performance said i can fit a 9" rim no wider, but the neglected to mention what tire is optimal.

i saw those pictures that u posted, i didn't think it was that bad, but it made me really reconsider tryin to put those 235's onto 9" wheels. my mech is just willing to sell me some new ones for 100 each which is cheap. he stated that i should have an 8" wheel tho. i guess i should just look for some 245's or 255's.

I think 265's are perfect. That's what I'm rockin' up front.

Your rims may be exposed, and when their exposed, your more than likely to get curb rashed or dents on your rims from like sudden drops or potholes..

I'm gonna be rockin 245/40's on my 17x9's I was also afraid to go bigger with it being lowered. I already rub in from on hard turns. (I'm also a fox so not the same, just sayin)

I'm rockin' 255s on my 9s, and I think that's about perfect. I used to run 275s on all four corners, and it always looked too bulgy to me.
235s would be perfect on an 8" rim. I'd run 235s on a 9" if you were drifting, and that's about it. You'd need to drop the car another couple inches, though. Hella flush, yo.

Chiming in on 275 up front look horrible. I run 275 up front on my front 9" and I really don't like how it looks. Previous owner had 255 up front and it looked way better.
275 on the back for a 9" wheel or don't waste your time.

Are you using 17s or 18s? You MIGHT beable to stretch 235s on a 17x9 but no way on a 18x9

Why would the rim diameter matter?
