ok i need new tires..im not sure how wide the rims are..there elite 17 inch wheels..i have a 96 cobra. Im looking for wide in the back and wider in the front then stock..im looking for best look with no mods...no rubbing...ive seen few mustangs with wider tires and think it looks good..i dont race and just want looks and performance without rubbing...would like wider in back then front....what would be combo ...thanks.i also dont like them too low of a profile..

I have 285 40 17s BFGS on the back with stock 245 BFGs in the front.My bubby has 315 35 17s Nitto drag radials out back and stock 245s in front.His do not rub but I do not think they look much wider than mine.I don't think Nittos are as wide as BFGs size to size.I think a 315 BFG would be wider than a 315 Nitto but I may be wrong.A different brand tire may cause rubbing problems not sure.My 285s are on a 81/2'' rim and I believe his 315s are on an 11'' rim.

right now i have 255 45 17 all the way around... what would be good tire for back with same height ill keep same in front.

u should get some wider rims in tha back, cuz if u go too wide tha buldge aint tha best looking thing...probly best you can do in tha tha back is 275 and in tha front stick to 255
