my mystic needs new paint on her well the front buttttttttt if im going to paint her im going to paint the whole car...

is there anyway i can get the car painted 2004 mystic paint instead of the original 96 mystic...

Exact true genuine mystic....No, not gonna happen. Ppg harliquen, dupon chamelon, sherwin williams fx, etc yes you can w/o a problem.

The problem with getting true genuine mystic is it is HIGHLY regulated by basf because a toner that is used in it is used to make money. Because of this its a fairly drawn out process to get and spray at that.

To start with lets say you have an 03/04 mystic. You wreck it, it goes to the shop to get fixed. Given theyre gonna spray it with the basf mystic basf will come out, verify the car is indeed a genuine mystic etc....Which youll be shot down at that point. Unless the 96 or whatever you have an 03/04 mystics have the same paint code. Then they will watch you spray it, pour the left overs back into a cup, watch you/make sure you clean your gun, then take the left overs with them.

yes sir the car is mystic well mine is but id like to have the 04 mystic paint instead of repainting it the 96 mystic. so therefore its possible to do but wont have left overs... thats what im gettin from what ya said

There's a difference between the 96 "Mystic" and the 04 "Mystichrome". They're 2 different paint codes/styles.

No but you need a vin and shit to prove you own the car. Not sure all what's involved but you definitely need a vin. Or unless you know a buddy at a Ford body shop

Exaclty that you saved me the typing time lol I couldnt have stated that better my self good job on the info this guy knows whats up when it comes to Mystic. Yeah when I first herd about the toner which is called purpleleen and its no joke, its what makes the color change possible. Lets just say you have the special money making machine laying around and you have the special paper,ink, symbols, designs, and plates to make the money the only thing you would need is this toner to make it an exact replica. And not to mention its going to cost you 7 grand total for the whole car.

Its the most expensive car paint in automotive paint history its worth $470 a pint. And lets not forget you better go to the best body shop in your area that has the expertise in painting Mystic it has two be layered blended right.

Trust me its different paint code take my word for it I know. And your mystic doesnt have that toner that is used in making money.

That is quite far from saying the code is the same....let me break that down some....You will be shot down, UNLESS (thats the key word) the car you have and the 03/04 mystics have the same code.

Nope sorry Jet stream blue is $170 to $180 for a pint at the most like I said Mystic is $470 a pint.
