Mach 1 vibrations?

I got my 04 mach 1 this week and noticed that when it hits around 22-2300 rpms, it'll make some like scratching noise. Sounds like it's coming from the rear passenger side of the car. Anyone have any idea what this is or if it's a big deal? Thanks.

Not really sure sounds like a high pitched vibration almost. Or like ripping tape off of something. haha It seems to be around 2500 rpms but only when I'm gassing, when I slowly pass 24-2500 it doesn't do it.

maybe change your rear diff fluid and check for metal shavings. least that point you could some what narrow it down after that.

Check your exhaust and make sure its all tight and the hangers too. Those rpm's is around the "drone" part witch would vibrate the exhaust alot. at least i think so

I'll be sure to check those thanks guys. I did notice the right exhaust pipe hangs a little lower than the left so that might be it.

Drive shaft will cause vibrations at certain RPMS if it is out of balance.

Remove the driveshaft and take it to a driveshaft shop.

All of them charge different prices. It is pretty much like balancing a tire. lol

As for your situation, I have seen cases that you can actually remove the driveshaft, rotate it and the reinstall it to get it to balance back out if it was balanced before you removed it the first time.

Yours is sounding like this at a specific rpms as well when you're gassing it? If I very slowly accelerate pass the rpms it does this at it won't do it, but when I'm say accelerating normal it will. It won't do it while sitting still revving it up past the certain rpms.

Well yesterday I had to put my seats down in the back to put something in and when I drove it with the back seats down I noticed that it was coming from somewhere in the trunk. It must just be something loose or something of that sort back there.
