Questions on a 98 S/C Cobra

To start, i am new to this site, and this is not only my first cobra, but my first S/C car in general. I have had mustangs before, but mainly for daily driving with minor mods. This Cobra I bought for more of a "toy".

Anyway It has a Vortech V2 supercharge set at 8 psi. When i test drove it, it ran very strong, with a minor tick. I assume an exhaust leak, and come to find out its the header gasket. After test driving, i put the hood up, and noticed the crank case breather was leaking oil down on to the Driverside header. The seller told me he bought a cheap breather without a baffle, and that was the reason for the leak. I purchased the car and had about a 2 1/2 hr drive home. I watched the gauges for most of the way home, and my Oil Pressure held at about 45psi. After owning the car for a week or so, i became frustrated with the small oil spot from the leaking crankcase breather, so i put the cap back in. Now, my Oil Pressure hangs aroung 25 PSI when driving. I have also noticed what looks like steam coming from the exhaust, that i didnt notice when i drove it. My thinking is its to warm out side for that right? I might just be paranoid. Is 25 psi too low? should I be worried? Did i mess up by puting the cap back in, and if so where do i find one with a baffle?

Also, I only put 89 Octane in it when i filled the tank, and i think i should be running higher octane. Could the lower octane becausing any issues? The Car is not intercooled, but has a water methanal tank in the trunk. It is set to spray when the S/C hits 2 psi, but since the header gaskets are leaking, im not driving hard enough to allow the S/c to really kick in. I mention this because the methanol spray also boosts the octane, and im not allowing it to spray.

I have many more questions, but will leave it at that for now..

Honestly...i dont know, he said it was tuned, but i dont know if he just went with the handheld SCT tuner. Would that be enough? In the future i will run 91 or better...Should i add an octane booster for the rest of the tank? What issues does it cause?

best and safest thing to do is take it to a tuner...and have it tuned...just in case cause if it was tuned to run with meth/h20 then low octane gas wont cut it...even without a tuned the cobras have to have 91octane put in them

Let me refrase so i dont look like a jacka$$: My history involving mustangs is infantile compared to the car i have now purchased which is a reason i put 89 octane instead of the 91 or better.

I plugged in my SCT X2 just to see what it said. It had two tunes loaded that were titled : 9psi 91 octane & 9psi Methanol. I went into the Car information and it stated that the strategy was:craj0m8. Google that didnt come up with much except that was a Pro Racer Package. I am not sure what all of this means and am looking for some serious insight.

In my research it looks like this tuner would have come with a computer disk to plug the tuner into a computer to load the custom tunes, and tune the car. This observation, and the names of my tunes lead me to belive this car has already had a profesional tune. Is there any way i can get a copy of the software???

Am i makeing sense at all, or is my ignorance leading me down the wrong path?

HELP!!

naw man either use the 91 octane tune, or go to your own tuner that way you know what you have.
