I need more power.

I've had my 97 cobra for about a 3 weeks now, I'm loving it, i really am.. but i'm wondering what I could do to get more "real" power. cams, exhaust, CAI, intake spacer? what should i do? or rather what would you do with a limited supply of money, like 1500 to start with...

I'm ordering a MGW shifter, and thats all i got on the list so far.

For 1500 the only kick in the pants mods will be gears AND nitrous!

Look on the Classifieds F8LGT is seeling a wet kit for 440 shipping and thats still gives you enough for gears

Lose some weight. The 96-98's are under geared stock so pulling weight has surprising gains.

You could remove the strut tower brace up front. Until your rear suspension is dialed in you dont want the front that stiff. You want to move towards more oversteer than the stock understeer you get with the strut tower brace.

Then you can pull the rear sway bar, seats, spare & jack, trunk lining, rear seat belts and interior panels if you're serious.

The stock h pipe has 4 cats... you can go to 2 with an after market piece. That's some more weight lost.

Then I'd recommend going for full length subframe connectors welded in, new shocks/struts are highly recommended, coilovers up front with C&C plates, then rear control arms & springs or 3 link conversion.

Should keep you busy.

a good tune-up, get some ngk plugs, some msd wires, and some msd coil packs...wen i did this the car felt better like lighter..but thats just me
