kenne bell 2.1 in a 97 cobra

I just got my cobra and am wanting to start modding it. ive read up and am thinking of going with the kenne bell 2.1 and keeping the boost below the 11psi as advertised. (Mustang Cobra 4.6 Supercharger)

my question is, the kit seems all inclusive as far as what is needed to get it up and running, but if i start looking at other things like CAI and LT what do i need to consider to make sure they all work in sync together? and since it comes with pulleys it would seem pointless to upgrade my current ones correct?

Thanks

To answer your last question, it's pointless to do pullies on b-ports anyway.

Exhaust is going to pretty much be the same N/A or boosted, the only real difference might be the CAI, which I'd recommend holding off until you install the S/C, just in case it has a different setup that would invalidate a stock CAI.

Because B-ports already had slightly underdriven pullies compared to GTs, and pullies don't get you that much power anyway - maybe a 5hp gain at max rpm. Down low, they don't change the rpm of your accessories enough to get you anything.

i know they dont add power but i thought they did more than add power like let your motor rev faster due to them being lighter than the stock. mainly the only thing they are good for

Stay away from KB with b heads...

Non-intercooled kits are all they have...

Get a procharger and you will be ALOT happier...

BTW B Heads are the heads to have for boost...

Well, the motor can rev faster because less power is being used to turn the accessories - that's where the added power comes from. Same deal with a lighter flywheel - by having less mass, it takes less power to turn it, and you have less parasitic loss, giving you a net gain.

Honestly, unless it's a full-on race car, I think UDPs are asinine. If they make enough difference to actually get you any measurable power, they're underdriving your accessories enough to cause issues on a long, low-rpm drive. If they don't cause any issues with low-rpm drivability, they're not netting you any power.

$100 in the toilet if you ask me.

you will be pushing the motor to its limits asking for 500 plus. How many miles are on your motor?

I wonder if anyone's ever ran meth by hiding it in a meth-injection setup. Like, literally, little baggies of methamphetamine inside their methanol holding tank.

Officer: "What's this?"
Runner: "Meth injection, duh."
Officer: "Any meth in there?"
Runner: "Well of course there is, it wouldn't work elsewise, hahaha."
