need some insight.

sorry about all these posts, but im still learning on this new motor. I was looking at the back side of the block and noticed one of these coolant holes was open and the one on the other head is capped off. Talked to a friend and he said its for a tube that goes to the heater core? is this correct and does anyone have a diagram on how its suppose to go or anything like that? Im looking at this thing like HUH? lol
