ok curious 3:73 gears or 4:10

Which one do you think is a better use. It my daily driver car, i dont race much, curious about the fuel economy...anyone wants to enlighten me

4.10's

No doubt about it. I have them in my car and still ge between 19-25mpg. I drive this piss out of my car. I communte between Atlanta, Augusta, Tampa, and Naples. I also get sent all over for Army crap, Savannah, Alabama, Louisiana, etc. I have never once regretted that decision.

Well, I take that back, I regret not getting 4.30's.

Curious cause i did some research and it rev's louder on hwy use, Curious what does your rpm read when its like cruising around 70-75ish.. Loudness FTW ! lol

I prefer my 3.73's. It all depends on what your future plans are for the car and what you're comforrtable with.

4:10's in my opinion. I have had 3:73's and 4:10's in the same 01 GT and the 4:10's are MUCH more fun.

I've driven both. My car has 3.73 and my friends has 4.10's. It's whichever you want. If you drive on the interstate around 70mph i really wouldnt want 4.10's. But im happy with my 3.73

I went with 3.73's in my Mach and have regretted it ever since. Wish I had gone 4.10 but I was scared to with an 80 mile round trip commute perday at 80 mph. I still jump between 4th and 5th way too much... 4.10 would have been perfect.

go with something in between.... like 3.90 gears!!! read in muscle mustangs & fast fords article that this is a popular choice.

3.90 aren't made by ford racing and have a history of issues, look it up, harder material but not always good. Just go with 4.10

What exactly are 3.73 and 4:10's like are these actually gears or are they headers for the gears? I just need the whole scoop on these gear mods! Im kinda new to mustangs but i want to know so much about them so i dont look stupid when i tel people what i have in my car..... like those dudes on youtube who talk out of there ass!! lol
