My daily driver is an 02 M3 with the SMG transmission. It's rated at like 13.2 and even been said to run 13.0 quarter mile times. That's pretty damn hard to do. It's totally dependent on the weather, track conditions, and tires. The best I've ever pulled was 13.4 and that was when I was a beginner on the car. I've never come close to those times since. Maybe a better set of tires and no 19" CSL wheels would help. (Big, heavy, low profile tires.)
I' If you get a great launch you'll have him. I get taken by what appear to be stock Mach 1 with drag radials all the time if the driver next to me has any idea how to mash the gas pedal. If he says "no brakes until the pits" you're dead. That car can come off the quarter mile and turn off it without hitting the brakes. (Okay, not quite but still...) Then hit the throttle and pull to 150. They're amazing cars.

I have stayed with an older CSL from a dig until 80. I think you may have a chance against a new M3.

You would hang with a 99 or under M3 no problem though.
