Depends on how modded.

Stock for Stock it would eat a Mach1 up.
I believe that car has over 400 crank.

well the bimmer is rated at 414hp at the crank and it's stock, and weighs about the same +or- 20lbs. I have full intake(all c&l including the mass airflow), x-pipe, flows, i think 4:10 gears(previous owner), pro 5.0 shifter.

The gears will help you for sure, but I think it will still beat you honestly.

new M3 weights 3700 pounds, so you have a little bit of a weight advantage i believe.

With a decent driver a stock M3 can pull 12.7ish in the 1/4mile

drivers race?

only 295 ft-lbs the new m3s arent that quick honestly. i was racing them in virginia and south carolina last summer, they sure can handle like theyre on rails though.

Your gonna get beat unless he cant drive. Your best chance is from a dig.

I don't know where you got your weight figure from. He weighs roughly 300 pounds more than you and has about 80 less torque with your mods. I hope you have a good set of rear tires... With those 4.10's and a good launch I'd see you beating him to 100... MAYBE

well my rear tires suck, but it's just for fun, plus it would be nice to see germans' new m3 beat by an underpowered and seven year old ford!!...... I'll let all you guys know how it goes. We will prob do some rolling races, but i deff want to do it from a dig

+1

Haha. with your setup if you get some radials on the back and a good launch i can see you holding him off to maybe 90 or so.. past that it might be really ugly. (4.10s on top end against an M is bad news) .. lol . best of luck man!

the m5/m6s werent pulling on the m3s too bad surprisingly at VIR if only the m3s were 300 lbs lighter with 50 more horsepower theyd be complete monsters.

The 2010 M3 with a great driver is a 12.7 second car. If you can beat a stock 03/04 Cobra in the 1/4 then you should be on par.

9 out of 10 people will not run that car into the 12s.

Just saying that is what the cars potential is. The guy could run 14's with it.
Same goes for a Cobra.

You're right, and on that same note I have never seen a bone stock cobra run faster than a 13.0.

I would imagine the m3 would get ya from a roll but more or less drivers race. You can't forget how crappy some people drive their cars.
