catback

I'm having a shop put in my Magnapacks because I just don't feel like doing it without a lift and it'll only be about 60 dollars but my step dad is saying I should have it welded together and not bolted on since I'm having someone else do it anyways. Should I ask them to weld it together or will it be fine if they just bolt it up like normal?

i think if you clamp it right you should have no exhaust leaks plus you can change out mufflers if you get bored with the mags

tell them to weld your tip hangers so they don't slide away.

clamping will work, theres no need to weld it all. As pointed out, weld the tips though!

if its the catback it should have the ball and socket connections to bolt right to the midpipe. There should be no welding involved in replacing mustang exhaust components, i.e. headers, midpipe, catback. It's all designed as a bolt in and unbolt system.
