Newbie exhaust problem

I want to thank anyone who can help me with this ahead of time. I have a 03 Cobra with 34k. I love this car. The previous owner installed a Mac cat-back (in my opinion best sounding, love it). The car still has stock manifolds. The previous owner replaced stock h-pipe with a catted x pipe. Yesterday driving to a friends house I noticed my car was rattling very bad at a stop light. Luckily my friend is a mechanic and we got the car on a lift. We found nothing rubbing, he bangs on passenger side cat with palm nothing, driver side cat definitely blew itself out, you can hear the internals moving around. The only thing on my x pipe is 93335. American Muscle shows a Magnaflow catted x and under mfg info it says 93335 and the design looks just like mine so I think its safe to say I have Magnaflow x pipe. Again my car only has 34k, that means the previous owner could not have put it on that long ago. American Muscle has reviews for the Magnaflow, one customer said after 25k his started rattling as well. Is this a known issue with the Magnaflow? Do you think if I called Magnaflow they would do anything for me? American Muscle also lists a SLP catted x, however some say for Mach1 etc fitment is great but for the cobra its horrible. Does anyone have experience with the SLP?....... I don't want to do headers for awhile and I want to stay legal with cats. It looks like I either have to go with Magnaflow or SLP for a catted x that will work with stock manifolds. Feedback appreciated.

Magnaflow usually has pretty good stuff, but I run all Mac on my Mach. You could also go with a UPR catted x pipe if you are looking for something other than SLP and magnaflow. It doesn't hurt to call magnaflow and see what they say but without you being the original purchaser that may cause a snag.

Call magnaflow, even without you being the original owner, they may be able to help you out. their R&D department likes to cut up broken parts to see what went wrong and they may hook you up with a discount due to the fact that they want the good publicity.
