Hey just curious, my wife talkin bout gettin a gt500 for me. If i was to sell my car privately, what do u think i could get for it?
heres the usual list
.20 over block
probe blower pistons
eagle rods
hellfire rings (20,000 miles on shortblock)
rebuilt, raceported heads with stainless steel components
stock cams and intake
removed IMRC's
BBK twin 62mm TB, ported
HP stage 3.5 TT kit
twin 67mm turbos
75lb injectors, aeromotive Eliminator pump, filter, and FPR,
sumped tank, -8feed, -6 return
QA1 tubular kmember with coilover front suspension
sct 4bank chip, aem tru-boost, fuel pressure guage, phantom tach.
SPEC stage 3+ clutch
Auburn rear diff, 3:55 gears
sportline springs in rear

now the bad,
bent input shaft in trans (trans whines)
the turbo drains designed with the kit arent good enough, so under load the car smokes. Hellions scavenge pump design is being installed this week to remedy the smoking.
some minor blemishes in the paint, body is straight tho
no way to install the front sway bar in HP's design. they sold me the relocation kit but there still is no way.
dipstick tube isnt' mounted down. Gotta make a custom bracket

Car has flawless tan leather interior, with less than 71,000 miles on the odometer
i would upload pics but everytime i try it says the file size is too large

what type of turbos are they?

Hp custom makes them in house. i know the exhaust turbine says garrett. they are 360 racebearing turbos, oil/water cooled.

It all depends on your market man. You could get alot more if you found the right buyer. If i were you id make up a list of everything in the car, and get an idea of what you want then go pimp it out at some mustang shows or events. theres a good chacne you can find someone who doesnt want to do alot of work on a car and theyll drop a pretty penny. being that i own a car lot, car prices are totally dependent on how you present the car. Ive seen a 2000 gt with 100k go for 6k and 10k depending on how pertty you make it and how bad you can make someone want it!

yea it really depends on finding the right person who wants, and knows what you've got. That will be a couple thousand difference right there. They will not be able to get much if any bank financing so it'll be somebody with cash. I would say you could get 10k or maybe a little more on a good day from the right guy. That's around here though not sure about where you live.

$10k.....thats a 1/3 of what i have in it. well ima get buried in this car lol. I hate losing money on anything. I"ll just tell my wife that if she's willing to pay $30k for a gt500 that she should just give me the 30k to invest in this car and to imagine how nice it could be after its finished. Sounds good to me!

I would cut my losses and move on to the gt500. Awesome car with lots of potential. Thats just what I would do.

oh true true. problem is that she owes like $11k on it still, and i put a couple grand on my credit cards (almost 10 to be exact) and i dunno if i feel comfortable with it. If i could find someone to buy it for more id prolly do it.

Dude, that's 21k in debt on a 12 year old Mustang. It's a hell of a nice car, but I doubt many buyers would pony up anywhere close to what you'd need to clear the books.

I wish you the best at finding the right buyer.

oh i know man. she bought the car for me almost 2 years ago for $15k. it had 64000 miles on it, a Vortech supercharger on it and the built shortblock, gt500 wheels, perfect paint and body. book value for the car then was 11,xxx plus all the extras. It was supposed to have 540hp, dyno sheets came with the car. the car didn't have 540, it had 460, dyno sheets were fake. anyway, i actually have closer to $30k invested, no joke.
