I'm going to leave this part out....
It goes between the mufflers and bolts to the bottom guard of the irs....As far as I can tell it serves no purpose except as a place to put the jack to support the irs....any thoughts?
It's basically a 10lb brick..

Once I removed a dumb random thing from my car, and it turned out to be important. It turned out to be the alternator

I'm pretty sure I know what you are talking about, and I left mine off too. As far as me and my bud could tell, it's basically there to help with vibrations/noises in the rear diff.

I think I know what you are talking about. I removed mine when I put the brace in. It had to come out.

tons of people have left the brick hanging under the diff off for years with no issues.

It's the dog bone, and yes it's for diff vibrations. Leave it or ditch it it doesn't really matter. I have mine still but tons of people remove em to save weight.
