Rear Diff Fluid Help

i have an 01 cobra and im going to be doing a gear install and i need to know what fluid to run. I plan on using royal purple but im not sure what type. I was on www.motorcraftservice.com and looked at the svt owners guide and it says 80w-90 but if you look at the general manual it says 80w-90 is for 7.5 and 75w140 for 8.8 rears. Which is correct? the 03-04s call for 74w140. It also says synthetic is royal purple a synthetic? and woudl still need friction modifier?

I think the 03/04 rears are a little
different from the 01's correct??

as far as im aware there the same besides different gears from factory the 99 i believe is the different setup

I have always ran 75w140.

75w140 is what i will be running when i do my gear swap next week.

Use friction modifier even with royal purple.
