So after some long thought..
I decided that the only mods I am gonna do to my car is gears (probably 3:73s) aand a short throw shifter. I am a student and cant afford for mods to end up blowing something in the car and putting me out of a car. Question is what do I need to od to make the car last? Again it has 115k miles, but was taken care off. I just put a new fuel filter, serpentine belt, all 4 brake pads and rotors, and some mil eliminators. what else needs to be done

nothing much really, just full maint. check/change plugs, check/flush coolant system, and stay on top of everything else as they come.

What he said, and don't waste time with 3.73s, but at least 4.10s in it.

carefull with your short throw Yes, you can shift faster, but you can actually shift faster than your syncro's can catch up...find a nice off road x pipe on craigslist...that will free up 10 hp |

oil change, pcv valve, sparkplugs, coils, and clean the inside of your throttle body, and if you cant afford a cold air intake put a new air filter, and clean maf

Interesting..... for our caes the cold air intKe is by the head light on passanger side. I dont know how you could get water there unless you thing you have a 4x4 and go into mud puddles and stuff like that.

I've wondered the same thing. The stock intake draws air from the same location so I don't know why it would make any difference, it's just that the filter is moved.

![]() 1 viewing hole in a teksid block is enough...2 is enough for a horror story... I seldom take my GT out in the rain, and when I do, I use streets that I know....not ones with unknown puddles. ![]() Those teksid blocks are precious, and I need one when I start my build
