sprayed the cobra yesterday


well finally everything came together aside from the kit didnt come with the proper jets for a 100 shot so i said fuck it and went 125

car made 462/472 on the same dyno this past winter. the only bolton added since then was the x pipe. the baseline was so low from the heat (twas 95 degrees 449/45X) should make 470/480 this winter. i did a wet 125 shot and made 557/594 it pulls awesome on the street. i went with the granatelli controller so it actives when at WOT and between 3700rpms-6400rpms. ill take some shots of the car and upload the dyno video later when i get the chance.

hoping to make 600/650 this winter then maybe shoot for some higher goals. Single Blade TB/Inlet, Posi Port, 80# Injectors, Triple Pump, Lower Pulley (probably 4# for 17#s of boost as opposed to the 14 its at now), Coilovers, Kmember, SLP Longtubes, and rejet for a 150 shot. maybe even an e85 or race gas tune.

also my DDM HIDs look great. went with the 4500k top and bottom. 55w w/ high/low for the headlights. + new clear fog housings.

That's awesome man. I've really been wanting to do a small 75/100 shot but when I think about it I'd never use it. I'll probably drag my car a couple times next summer and that's it.

i said id just use it to run people on and off the street, but now i catch myself using it when there are no cars around on the back roads.

thats really cool, ive been thinking about spraying mine i just got my slp exhaust 4.30 gears and a diablo sport tuner. What Nitrous setup did you get and how much did it set you back.

nice numbers! always have thought about spray, but, think the KB/Whipple bug has finally set in. workin on ways to make it happen as we speak.

Well that's the only time I'd probably use it too. But to have a full bottle all the time I'm not sure on my states laws with that kind of thing and I have had my car since beginning of April and still no races. So I feel like it'd be full all the time and I'd never get to use it and it'd just risk me getting in trouble if I was caught with it full.

its a no name brand so i got it for just over $300 IIRC then $75 for a purge, $75 for the granatelli TPS/RPM switch, and $40ish for the pressure gauge on the bottle.

and also ive been reading alot of reviews about spraying and how its not the nitrous that blows the motor its people using it( running 250 shot with no tune). Should i feel the need to forge my internals?

awesome numbers man! i love nitrous, but i wish i had a cobra lol

and yes mwon a lot of people are very ignorant with their nitrous and spray in too low or too high of an RPM

fast and the furious ruined the way people look at nitrous too, any FI set up can do damage if not properly set up

I thought about spraying a long time ago... was going to get a kit that was for wot. Decided against it. What supporting mods are needed? You shouldn't run on a stock engine, right?

I don't know. Maybe next summer. I just remember reading some states have laws to impound your car if you have a full bottle and aren't on the way to/from the drag strip or something. And that seems like a LOT to risk considering I'd rarely use it anyways. But the idea of hitting 400rwhp sounds awesome.

Nice yes its not the Nitrous that gets addicting its the power and thats why when there is no more left the power is gone and thats why I hate nitrous lol. But make sure not to go with 4lb lower it will fuck up your rotors with 2.8 upper because you will be overspinnig the blower in couple of months.

How the fuck is your system not maxxed? My MAF and pumps are maxxed with just a upper.

And yea honestly, make sure you running the right plugs at least or your gonna grenade you engine. The 03/04 engines are bulletproof for the most part AS LONG as you don't have detonation. That's the killer as you know. Poor spark and fuel even on low power = WTF BOOOOM

finally took the time to upload the pictures of my setup and a video of the pull


overall shot (used wire loom over all the wires) still need to hide the solenoids, fittings, and wot/rpm box by the battery


a few shots of the lines hidden


installed a vert switch in the coin holder slot. forward is purge backside is linelock and the old linelock switch to the left is to arm the nitrous. i forgot to take a picture of the purge it comes out of the front grille.
