What Clutch to buy
Doing a rebuild, and noticed the Center Force Clutch was pretty burned. Figured i should replace while the motor is out. I have a Tri-Ax shift kit.
Any suggestions??

currently right about 400RWHP, but if i crank the boost another 4-5lbs my HP will obviously increase.

You have to have an idea of how kuch power you will be making to get the correct clutch combo. Call promotion powertrain and they will ask you how much your car weights and how much power is making and they will tell you what is the best clutch setup for you.

this will be my next clutch. i currently have a spec stage 2 and i love it. it grabs harder than stock but is still something that is very streetable. clutch pedal effort isnt terrible either.

ok..Ill give them a call. I will have to figure out my weight first. I am going to an MMR short block, which is cast iron compared to my stock aluminum one, plus i have several mods.

Weight dosnt need to be spot on. Just an estimate will do. Same thing with power.

Manolith- In your Mods i see you have an aftermarket fly wheel. Do you recommend i replace mine or just have it resurfaced? What are the pros and cons?

well i dont know about resufacing because there are alot of places that will do a half ass job.. if you know a place that can really do it right and balance the flywheel then you can stay with yours. sometimes they cant be resurfaced tho. but whatever you do make sure that you get either a new flywheel or resuface yours before you install a new clutch. Im using an aluminum flywheel. if you have the money i say replace it.. make sure that you buy new bolts for the flywheel and presure plate. they are cheap at lethalperformance.com .

Dont get a king cobra. I have it in the cobra and it sucks.
And im not sure to recommend the stage 3 I have a stage 3 in the gt and it makes city driving a bitch sometime. However its fucking fun and the clutch is comfortable and easy to drive. Get a stage 2 perhaps

I runa spec stage 3+.
But if you don't plan on going over 500 hp a stage 3 would be more than enough clutch.
