Ok someone please help me identify this.

The guy selling it says it's stock but I've never seen a cobra like this before...

the guy says it was 1 of 240 98 cobras that came with a powerdyne procharger.

Get some documentation on that. I just talked to my buddy who works for a dealership and he never heard of that but said it may have been distributed to a specific region

At the very least there's an aftermarket tach and side-exit exhaust .

No factory SN95 Cobra ever came with a either of the above nor a supercharger, though it's certainly possible that it was a dealer package.

the thing only has 25k on it!

And the vin is good for a 98 cobra. Doesnt say anything else.

You're right... I didn't even notice the aftermarket hood. My brain filled that in as normal when I saw the hood was popped.

That svo side exhaust is very rare. If it came with that from the dealer that might just be a very rare car, and might have less done after the dealer than everyone is thinking.

What he says is that that these were created when SVO was fazing out, and SVT was taking over.

And, these were the precursors to the 2000 Cobra R.

I'm left a message with procharger about this to see if they had any idea what this thing is.

I would expect someone that has been around over there for a while would remember SVT/SVO ordering 200+ powerdyne superchargers.

hmm...not very stock looking at all.
the hood, the cobra r wheels, side exhaust and svo side skirts...
like mentioned above, it could have been dealer installed add-on's.

regardless, its a very nice BAB Cobra. if the price is right, i'd buy it up!

Im picking it up for $1500 plus my pi swap mustang gt

Reason: #7 torched piston (a nice hole a little smaller than a dime)

However...he is including a coast high performance 5.1L stroker aluminum short block

I'll be selling the Short block...

Well there are so many special edition mustangs it's hard to keep track of them all, but that tac was def. not stock. There's no way a mustang came stock with a tac like that. I don't even think the 00 cobra r came with a tac like that and if any special edition mustang came with one I'd think it'd be that one.

Either way I think it flows very well. I love it.
