Built rear check list and suggestions

I'm about to go ahead order a few of the parts I need to build the rear but just want to make sure before ordering anything I know exactly what I need. I'm not doing anything intense with it. No clutch dumping at 6k rpms I might drag race a few times next summer and next summer I want to install 100 shot of NX and spray every once and a while but other than that just a DD.

Here's what I believe I need:

31spline differential. (This one ok?)
31 spline axles. (Are mosers fine?)
Girdle. (Is this one good?)
Bearing Kit. (here)
Tuner
4.30s

Now with that differential there was that one in the link and another 10 dollars cheaper with carbon discs which one do I need?

Also please if there is a brand that you suggest in place of one of these I have linked please let me know. Also anything else that you can think of that I need let me know or anything I'm getting that would be a waste then let me know. Thanks guys!

Even for what I'm going to be using it for? I feel like that's pretty expensive for only drag racing a few times. Is there a cheaper alternative that doesn't have clutches but isn't a fortune or should I just go ahead and get the eaton?

Clutch style differentials burn out eventualy just like the clutch in your drive train. It will last longer than cobrastang thinks. They are also very quiet.

there is no timeframe for when a clutch diff will go out, people have burned out new ones at the track after just a few passes, since the truetrac has worm gears they do not wear and can handle 800+ hp, so if in the future you want to get a power adder, you will not have to rip out the diff to get a stronger one

Agreed. Don't forget wheel studs.

The TrueTrac is worth the money. I, as well as many friends, run that diff with no issues.

Wheel studs? Any links to some good ones to get? I haven't even heard of these and that I'd need them to beef up the rear.

But I guess TruTrac it is. I'd rather spend a little extra and not have to worry about it then not.

The diff. cover is the same thing as a girdle right?

Moser axles use press in wheel studs. You can get Moser studs, or ARP or Moroso. They're pretty inexpensive. You'll also need a set of open-ended lugnuts. Your local auto parts store should have those.

Last question about this. Since I'm getting a whole new differential and girdle and all that do I still need a bearing kit?

I thought I was gonna get the Eaton Tru-trac, but the guys over at the registry told me for what I was going to use it for a clutch style frpp 31 spline one will work just fine and a lot of guys over there run them and have no problems. So I'm going with that one, it's the one out of the 03/04 terminators, and it's only 190 from the guy on modularfords that works at tously ford or something like that.

Yeah, I won't have that much hp though and it'll only be mid-high 400rwtq every once and a while when I decide to spray so I should be fine.

cool... the only place that you will really damage anything is at the drag strip with super sticky tires. you should be good.
