98 cobra vs 94 cobra

There's a guy that wants to race on his 94 cobra, nearly stock just a few things like cai, 17'' wheels and a superchip. I think I should take him for at least a 1 car difference in the 1/4 mile. My car is a 98 gt with a 98 cobra motor, I'm running the gt computer, upgraded maf, cai, 18x10 rear wheels, eibach springs, eaton posilock diff, nitto tires and a few other things. What do you guys think?

No reason I can see for him to win. Pushrod Cobras just had GT40 top ends, and that's not nearly enough to make up for the 4v.

Are your IMRC's functioning properly, or did you delete them? What gear are you running? You have to keep in mind that the 5.0 makes all of it's power down low, the Cobra makes it up high. I think that he will beat you off the line, but you should have him at the end of the race.

Much closer race. Mach 1s came stock with 3.55s, so you don't have near the gear advantage, and C-ports make more torque than B-ports. Your tires give you a little advantage in traction, but 18s take some of that away (unless you have some flyweight wheels).
