no maybe and no. the mach 1 does not have forged rods or pistons. and only the 5speed mach 1 has the cobra crankshaft.

That is true but i believe there was a few 03 models that used production SVT engines they can be ID'd by the SVT plate on the valve covers like on the Cobras

Are you sure? I never Seen a mach1 with an iron block of a terminator. They all have aluminum blocks.

note that the mach 1 also uses an aluminum block, and the internals are *said* to be good for 450rwhp.

  • Termi motor is forged, mach is not.
  • Mach 1 does have the forged crank in the 5spds, not the automatic
  • Termi motor makes more power lower, Mach needs to wind out more.
  • If I'm not mistaken the Mach 1 has the 3650 tranny in it. Not really a great transmission imo and many buddies around here have ruined them with reasonable power.

With that said, I think the shaker is sexy.

LOL! Don't sell the TR3650 short! It's the last stock piece of my drivetrain left in the car!

That's impressive. With 600+ hp I'd have looked for the 6spd T56. Personal friend around here torched his 3650 w/ <500hp, but he abuses his. Props to you, either you really take care of your car, baby it, or else you know some trade secret that I'm missing out on =)

The 3650 can handle 600whp as long as you ligt the gas while shifing and don't go superman on third gear. The weak link is the 10spline input shaft that can be replaced by a 26spline for little money.

This is my secret weapon! It gets alot of laughs and giggles from the youngsters, but I've never missed a shift, and I can powershift 2nd, 3rd, and 4th with the KB at full boost!

In all seriousness though, I fully expect the tranny to crap out at some point, and when it does, I have a Viper spec T56 waiting to go in, but right now it's sitting on the floor collecting dust.
