Is it feasible?
So I was looking at RPMoutlet.com and they are advertising a boost bypass method that I am curious as to whether it would cause damage to the supercharger or not?
They are saying that switching the vaccuum lines between the boost actuator soleniod and the boost actuator will keep max boost at high RPM without allowing any bleed off. Thoughts on this? |

Post a link. One way to bleed off the max boost and it won't hurt the blower is putting in a wastegate between the blower and the MAF. With a bigger pulley you'll build boost earlier and it'll stay flat at whatever psi wastegate you put in there. Of course keeping the blower within its efficiency range.

"BOOST BYPASS" Installation Instructions for the 2003, 2004 Supercharged Mustang SVT Cobra
What would be the optimal choice in wastegates and how to install? This is my first forced induction car, so I am not familiar Last edited by whistler19; September 16th, 2010 at 03:12 PM. |

haha. Didn't see you have an 03/04 cobra. My bad. I would research a little further. I understand the concept but if something is too good to be true............

yah, I heard that! Really would like to keep it at max boost throughout the entire rpm band. But ensuring that this is done without causing any damage

Search over on SVTP. People have been doing this for quite a while. Since I'm only swapped and don't have the Cobra PCM, my boost bypass solenoid doesn't do anything. Car runs fine.

Just search Boost bypass mod or something close to that. Should come right up. |
