if there was oil in the cylinders, it would smoke like my grandma.

Stick the plugs in, USE anti-sieze, and start her up!

If blue smoke starts pouring out, then come and get some help

Spark plug tube seals on the valve cover/head are bad.

Just pull the valve covers off and replace. Felpro sells a valve cover gasket kit which has everything needed. Just make sure you use a good amount of Indian head gasket sealer.

make sure you put good rtv in the creases of the valve cover where it seals to the head and let that rtv dry for an hour or so also make sure NOT to pinch the gasket up against the firewall under the fuel disconnects its hard to reach back there and it binds up the gasket....

Indian cement is stronger than regular RTV for the spark plug seals.

I'd run a compression check to determine the rings sealing ability.
