mark viii vs cobra irs

So im looking at a 98 mark viii for a replacement for my dead 98 gt.

Anyone know if the IRS in the mark viii's are the same as the 99 cobra's?

Both are 8.8 28 splines.....but thats about all i know.

I'll be buying the solid bushings, etc.

i really doubt they are the same. i think the mark's have some kind of air ride system from the factory ???

Yea they have air bags in the front and rear.

supposedly all the bushing are the same, so if i pick it up, i will be replacing them all with solid bushings

They can be converted to coil springs really easily. Exactly what I did on my sisters 96 Mark. They are great cars really.
