What oil to use?
Im noticing that the oil is low on my 97 cobra. The guy before me had put in Mobil 1 but idk if it was 10W-30 or 10W-40 etc, etc.. They make so many different kinds now for high milage or performance or standard. So what would you guys suggest?
It is a 1997 Cobra with a v-2 vortech SC. Let me know, Thanks |

5w-30 pennzoil platinum fully synthetic.
I know a guy is independently hired by mobil, pennzoil, quacker, etc to test their oil. He says that all the premium full synthetic oils are almost the same. |

Incorrect. the only really full synthetic motor oil is amsoil, there have been plenty of independent tests done where amsoil was lightyears better than the competition.

I just called him up. He agrees that amsoil is better. Lolol
He says the penz platinum is the best oil readily available. You win |

You can't really go wrong with any decent oil though. I use mobile one 5-20, and have never had problems, and im sure that anyone that uses a decent oil will say they never have problems.

penzoil platinum is the best you can get if you can't get amsoil. But I just buy it online so no problems here.

yea I'm a supervisor at Jiffylube. the Amsoil crowd LOVE their amsoil and swear by it. a few amsoil customers drive between 10 and 20 thousand between oil changes. thats crazy but its their cars. I also sell Polydyn TX7 oil additive. that stuff is supposed to add horsepower to ur car because it super-lubricates your engine. it even has a lifetime guarantee. check out polydyn.com
