I am debating taking the money saved getting this and sending it out to get extrude honed, ill probably just take a flex hone to it. Fun part will be making a sheet metal top for it to accept the accufab oval tb. I am going to read more into it, but I might try to divide the intake into a left/right. I guess separating the runners helps with low-mid range, I just have to make sure it wont be counter productive with shorter runners.

660+ shipping, I couldnt turn it down. I would leave the runners at stock length but I want to rev it higher. Of course the manifold makes great power, but it peaks too soon for what I want to do. I am not dead set on chopping it up but I promise if I do ill do it right. Got to admit, a 5.4 spinning to 7k doesnt sound so bad.

are you doing a 5.4 4v or just a 5.4?

the runner length should be about fine, shouldnt really be a hinderance to get that rpm range. getting the 5.4 to do it efficiently can be if you dont know what you are doing (not implying that you dont, just for those that dont know much about the 5.4).

I cant wait to get started on this, as soon as I finish fixing up a set of 4v heads Ill have room for this and can start on the fun part. Im going to try to rig it so the left and right side are separated after the throttle body. Ford did this with their fr500c manifold to bring in the power sooner. Actually what they did is they had a little plate that you could leave in or take out depending on what you want as the manifold is supposed to let you modify it to your needs. I think what im going to do is rig up a throttle body on the inside so I can take advantage of that design down low and open it up for higher revs. This is one of the things they do on truck manifolds so hopefully it works for me. I have a lot of reading to do but I am also considering moving the injectors up a little bit to take advantage of the cooling benefits so I can pull off higher compression ratios safer. I wish I owned my own shop so I could play with this kind of stuff all day, I get all excited just thinking about what I could do with this manifold.

sounds like a good idea.. but I have concerns when it comes to hacking that intake all up. I understand why you want to do it. but what happens when you take a littlel too much runner off? cant put it back lol

The amazing part about metal is you can always put it back. I can weld aluminum so if I take off too much its not that big of a deal. At a glance it looks like I can get away with taking about an inch or two off without problems, but im not going to cut anything until I have everything figured out.
